Gary and Yvette Dempsey met in 1996 in Santa Monica, CA at an innovative real estate marketing company called ListingLink. This company was the first to sync real estate listings with the local MLS and provide real estate websites....before realtor.com. Yvette was in the photo scanning department, and Gary was a graphic/web designer. You can say their career together in real estate, and in life started there.

Meet Gary Dempsey
Gary J. Dempsey is, first and foremost, an LA Boy. You could even say he was bequeathed this city. His family opened an inn and Fish ’n Chips shop in Los Angeles when they first arrived here from Scotland several generations ago, and Gary has had
the life of this city running through him since he was a child. From playing baseball in Burbank, to eating tacos in Korea Town (Chato’s Taco Truck is his favorite), to pub-crawling in DTLA or biking on the Santa Monica Beach, Gary knows the city inside and out.

A professional entrepreneur, Gary was first introduced to the world of real estate when he was presented with the opportunity to learn Marketing for the industry in the late 90’s. The real estate industry fascinated him, and he began work as a loan officer in 2000. He ran his own show for several years as a loan officer and escrow specialist before obtaining his real estate license in 2005. He subsequently worked for Zip Realty and Re-max in Manhattan Beach. Ever the student, Gary also became a financial consultant during this time, a service he still offers his clients today. He went on to open his own brokerage, Dempsey Real Estate, in 2012.
Gary has since joined forces with Harcourts Hunter Mason Realty in 2018. Harcourts functions off of a revolutionary marketing and sales platform that protects both the buyer and the seller, something Gary is passionate about. Harcourts also utilizes an innovative auction platform, a tool the brokerage has developed and perfected for over 120 years. Gary uses his knowledge and experience to guide his clients through the home buying process from start to finish. He approaches his work not just as a realtor, but as an entrepreneur, finance coach and and loan specialist.
When Gary isn’t entrepreneur-ing, you might find him traveling the world with his wife Yvette and their family and friends. Gary is also an avid volunteer for city projects, sporting events and patriotic causes. He also donates to veterans’ programs whenever possible.

Meet Yvette Dempsey
Yvette has been in the real estate industry for 18 years now! She began at a young age working at the first real estate dot.com to ever publish property listings online. There she scanned each property photo and typed home descriptions manually, before digital uploads were easily available. It was at this company where Yvette met Gary Dempsey whom she later married in August 2003!
With a strong marketing background in Real estate, and an acquired love for the housing industry; Yvette became officially licensed in 2006. Soon, Yvette sold homes ranging from L.A.'s Westside, to Hollywood, Culver City, and even Pasadena neighborhoods like Rose Court and Brigden Ranch.
Even though Yvette had her own successful sales throughout Los Angeles, she wanted to hone her skills and learn about the luxury market. In 2009, Yvette went to work for one of the biggest and record-breaking agents in Beverly Hills. There she was mentored and learned hands on the intricacies of high luxury real estate for 5 years. Yvette became instrumental in the closing of multi-million dollar deals!
In 2017, Yvette and her husband Gary, (a broker himself) have joined Harcourts Hunter Mason Realty. Yvette compares this move to "Shaq and Kobe joining the Lakers." Together they are known as the "Dempsey Team." Both auction accredited, and always with their pulse on the latest technology and trends. In less than a year with Harcourts, they have already made notable sales in the beach cities and have won the company's Bronze award. Yvette and Gary use their combined skill set and experience to provide outstanding service to their clients.
Born in Westwood, California, Yvette's hobbies are reading, biking, baking and traveling. She likes Halloween and watching horror movies. Yvette enjoys spending quality time with husband Gary and their 2 plump cats!
